I’m very sorry for your loss, first of all. It’s wonderful that someone can inspire you so much, and I think that’s what you should use to keep going. Keep going for him, to live out a life that both of you would be proud of. Maybe losing him will lead you to where you’re supposed to be or do what you’re supposed to do. About a month ago, my best friend officially got a boyfriend (we're in grade 12). Now all she does is hang out with him and she is so consumed with him that she has no time for me, or time to listen to anything I have to say. She is also bringing him to our graduation ceremony, banquet, AND afterparty, and to be honest I'm not looking forward to being the third wheel at my own grad. Being the third wheel sucks; I’ve been there. Especially in high school, first loves are all over the place and a lot of people feel left out when it doesn’t happen to them. I wouldn’t be too down on her, because love makes us do crazy things, especially so young; our attention is kind of shot. But have you tried talking to her? Obviously, you don’t want to come between them, but you do have the right to tell her that you’d like more attention from her than you’ve been getting. Even though it might be a bit uncomfortable at each of the senior year activities and graduation, I wouldn’t say running out and trying to find someone is the best solution—you might just make it more awkward for yourself, and that’s not something you want at graduation. My advice for that would be to focus on the fact that you’re graduating high school! Believe me, it’s a night you’ll never forget, even if some things aren’t the way you exactly want them. Your future’s ahead of you, like college, where you’ll meet tons of people and finally begin to find yourself. It’s not weird at all!  Some people are just slower to fall for someone, it doesn’t mean you’re odd or anything like that.  Sometimes the right person hasn’t come along for you to like, so you shouldn’t feel obligated to like someone.  I can’t tell you how to starting liking someone because it’s supposed to happen naturally, but you can look out for the signs of interest.  Ask yourself some questions: do you like talking to someone more than usual?  Do you find yourself thinking about anyone when your thoughts drift?  Do you dream about someone repeatedly in romantic ways?  Do you sometimes feel more sad than normal when a person doesn’t talk to you?  These aren’t guaranteed signs of having a crush, but they can help you organize your thoughts and feelings.…

Start with something simple: ask them (separately if they do not get along) if they want to have dinner with you.  When people eat together, it gives them an opportunity to start out with some casual before moving on to serious subjects.  Ask them about their jobs or what they’ve been doing lately.  Most parents get really excited when they see their kid taking interest in what they do.  Even your parents need to talk to someone about what goes on in their lives, so you can offer a listening ear.  Sometimes you won’t even need to know what to say because they’ll do all the talking. I met this guy online around April of last year and we became good friends. He asked me to be his girlfriend in September. I ended up falling in love with him. I just knew he was the one. (Continued) I feel like I’ve lost everything. Every night I cry myself to sleep. I feel so empty and depressed all the time. I just want to end it and finally be with him. I never got to hold him, kiss him, or even see his face in person. The first time I got to see him was in his casket. I just want to die. I am so sorry for your loss, that is so heart-breaking to read.  Grief is a very dark, depressing feeling that must be dealt with on a personal level.  However, this doesn’t mean you have to go through it alone.  If your school has a counselor, then you should go and see him or her and talk about the sadness you feel.  If you would rather not do that, or if you can afford a therapist, then you can schedule an appointment to see someone who specializes in grief.  Surround yourself with people who love you because it is very important to remember that you will be terribly missed if you leave.  It feels like the end of the world when someone who you love dies, but you need to remember that they loved us to.  People who love you would want you to be happy, so you need to start recovering from and healing the loss you experienced.  It will take time, but you are strong and you can make it.…

You really shouldn’t lie about your age on the internet.  If you are uncomfortable saying how old you are, then you should just not say at all instead of lying.  When you lie, it can mislead other people and if they do find out that you lied, they can get hurt.  You should just tell him in a straight forward way.  Don’t beat around the bush.  Just think, if he returns your feelings and you two are prepared to have a long distance relationship, he will be very hurt that you lied to him.  Even if he has a sister the same age as you, you shouldn’t conceal your age if you truly value his friendship or if you want to think about a relationship.  A relationship built on a lie will generally die faster than one built on honesty.  And remember, long distance relationships, especially cross-continent ones, are difficult to maintain and require a lot more communication than local ones.  You can’t afford to lie to him if you want to consider long distance.…

If you love soccer and you want to play on a professional team, then you have to work for it.  Most people do not get what they want by sitting around.  If you need a good agent, then you need to research some agents and find one to help you.  Don’t try and figure out your whole life all at once, because you can’t.  You have to take it step by step and work your way up.  Hard work pays off.  If you’re doing what you love, then the work ahead of you won’t be as hard as you think.…

Long distance relationships can be hard work, and not seeing each other for extended periods of time can put extra pressure on person at what is already a stressful time in your life. My advice is to think about maybe just trying to be friends while you start college. Being so far away from each other will leave you both open to temptations, and in that sense can become unhealthy if you are not just enjoying being young.…

Sex seems to be a popular topic amongst young people today. It is important to remember that even though sex feels “good”, it comes with several responsibilities. You have to consider all of the consequences of sex including teen pregnancy and STDs. If you want your first time to be special, then you should wait to do it with someone who really means a lot to you. Your self respect will keep you from having sex with some “random person” in college. Ultimately it is up to you. You have to be smart enough to make the right decision that will fit you best.
