okay so idk what is going on but i need your help. so there’s this boy i’ve liked since last year and every time (usually every time) i walk by him, he gives me this stare and it’s been going on since last year and idk what to do. like yeah i know i should talk to him and i’ve tried but when i talk to him he can’t even look at my face and it makes me so uncomfortable. but he stares at me any other time and idk why. he talks to so many girls without a problem but won’t talk to me- he just stares

That does sound a little weird, but based on what you said about how he acts, for whatever reason I think he isn’t interested or not interested enough. If he’s fine with other girls and can’t even look you in the eye, he could be nervous, I suppose, but even if that were the case I think you would see other signs from him that he likes that you’re talking to him, like a small smile. So, to be honest, I think something’s off with him and you should try to move on from this particular crush. Don’t wait around for someone who can’t even look you in the eye when you talk to them—and someone who doesn’t have the guts to come up to you.

And while it’s true that some guys do get nervous like girls, most guys will not only talk to you if they’re interested, but they’ll be the one to start the conversation as well.
